SolidsWorks

Terms of Use

SolidsWorks is a free collection of guides to SOLIDWORKS. You can read and use the guides without an account, and nothing on the site is sold. These terms explain what you can expect from the guides and how you may reuse them.

An independent site

SolidsWorks is an independent guide and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Dassault Systèmes. SOLIDWORKS is a trademark or registered trademark of Dassault Systèmes or its subsidiaries in the US and/or other countries; the name appears here only to describe the software the guides cover.

Using the guides

Every guide is written against Dassault Systèmes' SOLIDWORKS help and the SOLIDWORKS release current when it was written. Commands, PropertyManager options and license terms change between releases, so check each step against your own version before you rely on it. Before you follow steps that change files, such as assigning a material, replacing a feature or exporting a flat pattern, save the part, assembly or drawing and keep a copy you can return to.

A guide explains how the software behaves. It can't establish that a physical part is suitable for manufacture or service; that check belongs to your own design review. The guides are provided as they are, without a warranty that they fit your system, model or deadline. To the extent the law allows, SolidsWorks is not liable for lost work, rejected parts or other damage that results from following or misreading a guide. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

Reusing the content

The text and images on this site belong to SolidsWorks. You're welcome to quote a short passage with a link back to the guide it came from. Republishing whole guides, copying images or feeding the articles into another site or product needs written permission first.

Guides link to the SOLIDWORKS help and other outside sources so you can check a claim at its origin. Those sites are run by others, and their own terms and policies apply once you follow a link.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the site grows. The current version is always the one on this page.
